ENGLISH 19 FOREWORD Dear Sir or Madam, Dear Readers of the 2021 Surgical Guide, In this new edition, about 200 manufacturers and trading companies as well as suppliers are once again presenting their diverse products and services. Using the product keyword index, you can quickly find the desired suppliers for your needs. Take advantage of this proven information source. In addition, we are pleased to provide you with personal advice and support, as we have done for more than 30 years. Yes, everything is different. Since the middle of March the dreadful crisis caused by the corona virus has also changed Germany and affected the stability of our economy, although the economic figures of medical technology in our region have not slumped as sharply as those in many other industries. We are particularly saddened by the loss of international visitors to our permanent medical technology exhibition in Tuttlingen. Even though guests from Germany’s neighbouring countries are again visiting us in Tuttlingen, it will probably be some time before guests from other, more distant parts of the world can visit us. We have reacted to this situation and have now invested a great deal of effort in updating our homepage www.acig.de to the most modern standard. The highlight is certainly the “virtual exhibition” , in which you can scroll and zoom into every corner of our permanent exhibition with your mouse as if you were personally present. On our homepage you will also find the digital version of our surgical guide for the first time. Unfortunately, you will miss one time-tested and popular element in this year’s edition of our Surgical Guide – the large overview of the worldwide medical technology trade fairs. Even though the first dates have been established, we believe it is unrealistic to expect a regulated and safe trade fair operation in the coming months. We would like to express our sincere thanks to our loyal customers, whose advertisements have once again made possible a new comprehensive edition of the Surgical Guide.
