ENGLISH 19 FOREWORD Dear Sir or Madam, Dear Readers of the 2022 Surgical Guide, In this new edition, around 200 manufacturers and trading companies as well as service and supply companies for medical technology are once again presenting their diverse products and expert services. The combination of our surgical guide with our permanent medical technology exhibition in Tuttlingen offers you, dear reader, an enormously efficient tool for opening up new or alternative sources of supply for your purchasing. For some weeks now, we have been pleased to welcome more international visitors here in Tuttlingen, who are finding their way to us despite the worldwide pandemic and the burdensome conditions and strains associated with it. Nevertheless, the number of visitors is understandably still well below the figures of the pre-pandemic years. Our virtual exhibition on our homepage www.acig.de , in which you can scroll and zoom into every corner of our permanent exhibition with your mouse as if you were there in person, has proved particularly popular. The images of the exhibition are completely renewed every six months, so that you always have an updated view even if there are changes in our rooms. So it makes sense to “click in” to our virtual exhibition every now and then. After we omitted an overview of worldwide medical technology trade fairs in our last book edition due to the uncertain worldwide conditions, we are once again trying to list the most important trade fairs in this book, as far as the information was available at the editorial deadline in mid-October. The organisers are currently not able to guarantee that the event will take place with exhibitors and visitors on site during the pandemic. As a rule, a virtual fair will be offered in the event of a cancellation. Consult the homepages of the respective trade fairs for further information.
